A 28-year-old man now in custody in Orange County is suspected of fatally stabbing an 83-year-old man last month in Temple City, the sheriff’s department reported Thursday.
The body of Martin Leska of Temple City was found about 5:50 a.m. on Dec. 16 in the 5500 block of Alessandro Circle. Detectives believe he was killed on Dec. 14.
Leska, who was identified by the coroner’s office, had suffered at least one stab wound to the upper body, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported at the time.
Detectives investigated and later identified and leveled a murder allegation at Jose Rosales Casa, who is currently in custody in Orange County on unrelated charges, according to the sheriff’s department.
His bail in connection with the Temple City homicide has been set at $2.45 million, officials said.
A possible motive has not been released.
