
Deputies Monday hunted a dangerous suspected killer of two victims gunned down in a bloody shooting in the Riverside County town of Menifee.
Sheriff’s officials warned residents to avoid approaching the likely armed and dangerous suspect.
Jesus Sanchez Ponce, 39, allegedly killed the victims, identified only as Hispanic men, in the 25000 block of Waldon Road, near Debon Street, just before 11 p.m. Sunday, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff’s officials said deputies were sent to the location to investigate reports of a disturbance and located the two men suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators did not disclose how Ponce was identified as the alleged shooter.
He was last seen driving a brown 2007 GMC Sierra pickup truck, with a California license plate of 8H85193.
Sheriff’s officials emphasized that Ponce should not be approached.
