A vehicle containing a possible shooting victim crashed into a fire hydrant Wednesday in Industry, and the occupant was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
Two other people believed to have been involved in some kind of original incident were located a few blocks away on Salt Lake Avenue, and were taken to a hospital, fire department Inspector Richie Licon said.
It wasn’t clear if those two had also been shot or were injured in some other way, as details were still sketchy. It wasn’t known what kind of incident took place, nor any kind of motive.
Firefighters pronounced the unidentified victim dead after being dispatched on a 2:19 p.m. call of a crash, possibly involving a shooting, at the intersection of Don Julian and Turnbull Canyon roads, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
