A man’s body was found in the trunk of a car in Stanton Friday, triggering a homicide investigation.
Orange County sheriff’s deputies were called about 10 a.m. regarding a suspicious vehicle in the 12000 block of Leafwood Street, said Carrie Braun of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The driver’s side window was broken and there was blood on the vehicle’s exterior, Braun said.
As deputies were examining the car, they found the dead man in the trunk, she said.
“They’re working to determine the identity of that person, the cause of death and approximate time of death,” Braun said.
