Authorities Wednesday released security images of a fugitive who shot wounded another man outside a Rosemead restaurant last fall, along with three of the suspect’s female associates.
The shooting occurred about 8:40 p.m. Sept. 21 in the 8900 block of Garvey Avenue, said Deputy Trina Schrader of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau. The name of the restaurant was not released.
“Prior to the shooting, the suspect and victims were in a minor verbal altercation,” Schrader said. “Shortly after, they exited the restaurant and the shooting occurred.”
A 25-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was hospitalized with “life-altering injuries,” Schrader said.
Another man, in his mid-20s, was fired upon by the suspect, but was not wounded, Schrader said. A third man, in his 30s, was chased through the parking lot by the suspect, who did not fire at him.
The assailant was described as an Asian man about 20 to 30 years old, who fled in a black four-door sedan with three women, described only as being in their 20s.
Anyone with information about the crime was urged to call detectives at (626) 285-7171, or Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
