Sheriff’s homicide detectives again asked for the public’s help to solve the 2-year-old killing of Danah Rojo-Rivas, and were hoping a $30,000 reward would entice someone to identify the killer or killers.
Rojo-Rivas, 16, was shot and killed Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016 at about 9:30 p.m. at the corner of Euclid Avenue and Long Beach Boulevard in Lynwood.
The victim was sitting in the backseat of the vehicle her mother was driving, heading home from church, when a car-to-car chase approached them and gunshots were fired from the vehicle being pursued, described as a silver or gray 4-door vehicle, possibly a Ford Taurus. The suspect vehicle was last seen going west on Euclid Avenue, the department reported.
L.A. County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects. An additional $10,000 reward has been offered through two private citizens.
