
Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man, possibly in his 40s to 50s, who was killed in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles, a police officer said Sunday.
Officers were dispatched at 9:30 p.m. Saturday to the 800 block of North Fairfax Avenue, one block north of Melrose Avenue. They found the victim suffering from trauma to the neck and throat area, said Officer Irma Mota of the LAPD‘s Media Relations Section.
Paramedics arriving at the location pronounced the man dead at the scene, Mota said.
