Two men and a woman were facing murder charges Wednesday after being arrested in connection with the shooting death of a 37-year-old man last month in Long Beach.
Victor Eugene Alford of Wilmington was shot in the upper body about 5:50 p.m. on May 15, 2016 in the area of 61st Street and Orange Avenue. He was taken to a hospital, where he died 10 days later, according to Long Beach police.
The suspects — 25-year-old Ellese Paschal of Compton, 23-year-old Roosevelt Citizen of Compton and 22-year-old Devin Wright — were arrested on Monday, according to the Long Beach Police Department and sheriff’s inmate records.
Paschal was arrested in Victorville, while Wright and Citizen were already in custody on unrelated matters, police said.
All three were booked on suspicion of murder and were due to be arraigned Wednesday. It’s unclear if they entered pleas.
Police had released sketches of two of the suspects and video of two vehicles that were spotted leaving the shooting scene.
