Two 25-year-old men were behind bars Thursday on suspicion of killing another 25-year-old man on the border of Stanton and Anaheim this week.
Noe Lezama of Anaheim, arrested Wednesday, and Alfredo Quiroz of Garden Grove, arrested Thursday, were booked on suspicion of murder, jail records showed.
They are accused of gunning down Frederick Temple of Anaheim Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies were sent to Dale and Lola avenues on a “shots fired” call about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Jaimee Blashaw of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
He was shot at Dale and Lola and managed to stagger over to Ravenswood Drive and Dale, where his body was found, Blashaw said.
Temple was pronounced dead at the scene from a chest wound.
The killing was related to an earlier shooting near Cerritos Avenue and Yana Drive, sheriff’s officials said. Investigators believe they have found a gun used in one of the shootings.
Lezama pleaded guilty Feb. 24 to possession of drug paraphernalia and was placed on three years of informal probation and ordered to participate in a drug program, according to court records.
He was scheduled to appear in court Friday on a probation violation allegation.
