A 14-year-old girl was arrested and charged in connection with the fatal shooting of another teen girl in South Los Angeles, police said Tuesday.
The shooting occurred around 4:20 p.m. March 21 at the intersection of 70th and Figueroa streets, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Police said 14-year-old Kendra McIntyre was walking in the area when she was shot.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics took the girl to a hospital, where she later died, police said.
The suspect — whose name was not released due to her age — was taken into custody Monday and was booked at the 77th Division station without incident. Police said she was charged with murder in juvenile court on Tuesday.
