A murder suspect wanted by the Los Angeles Police Department was arrested in Hot Springs, Arkansas, through a multi-agency effort, authorities announced Friday.
Joseph Allen Saxton Curl, 34, of Hemet, was arrested Wednesday about 3 p.m. on the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (70) Expressway near Airport Road by personnel with the Hot Springs Police Department and Arkansas State Police.
The FBI in Los Angeles alerted the field office in Arkansas that he may be in the state, according to Connor Hagan, public affairs officer for the FBI in Arkansas.
Information about the murder case was not immediately available from the LAPD. Curl will be extradited to California, but it’s unclear when.
