Crisis negotiators are trying to coax a murder suspect out of a Lawndale home where he barricaded himself Thursday morning.
Los Angeles Police Department homicide investigators went at 11:20 a.m. to the 4600 block of West 160th Street, between Inglewood Avenue and the San Diego (405) Freeway. A suspect barricaded himself and has refused to comply with commands from officers, an LAPD media relations officer said.
An LAPD SWAT team responded the location at 1:15 p.m. Its Crisis Negotiating Team has also responded, police said.
